A village in Nigeria was attacked by armed militants, resulting in over 60 deaths.

On the evening of September 5th local time, the village of Darul Jamal in the Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, Nigeria, was attacked by armed members of the extremist group "Boko Haram". The Governor of Borno State stated on the 6th that the attack had resulted in the deaths of more than 60 people. The Chairman of the Bama Local Government, Modu Gudja, also mentioned that the attack had resulted in the destruction of more than 10 houses and over 100 people being forced to flee their homes.
