Due to production defects, the Argentine government is recalling a batch of passports.
The Argentine government recently discovered a batch of passports that were issued with defects, and requested Argentine citizens who hold these passports to return them immediately. These passports were all issued by the Argentine National Registry of People. According to the Argentine newspaper "La Nacin", the government stated that there are 5,500 to 6,000 passports with production defects that could potentially be used for fraud. However, unofficial sources claim that there may be problems with over 200,000 passports. The Argentine government has requested citizens who hold these passports to return them immediately to the National Registry of People or the Argentine consulates in their respective countries.
