The average interest rate of 30-year fixed-rate mortgages in the United States has slightly decreased.

According to seasonally adjusted data from the Mortgage Bankers Association in the United States, the average contract interest rate for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages with a loan amount of $806,500 or less decreased slightly from 6.84% to 6.83% last week. Including origination fees, the points for loans with a 20% down payment decreased from 0.62 to 0.60.
