The International Monetary Fund approved on July 31 to provide Argentina with around $20 billion in financing. The IMF stated that although Argentina did not meet the target for net international reserves by mid-June as previously set, "other key performance criteria and indicative targets" have been met, and Argentina has taken measures to work towards achieving this goal. Argentina's Economy Minister, Luis Caputo, confirmed on July 31 that this funding from the IMF will be disbursed on August 4th.
