In the first half of this year, China's esports industry revenue increased by 6.1% year on year, with live streaming revenue accounting for the highest proportion.

On August 1st, at the 2025 Global Esports Conference, Zhang Yijun, the First Deputy Director of the China Audiovisual and Digital Publishing Association, released and interpreted the "China Esports Industry Report for the First Half of 2025". The report shows that from January to June 2025, the revenue of China's esports industry was 12.761 billion yuan, an increase of 6.1% compared to the same period last year. Among the revenue of the esports industry, as of June this year, live streaming revenue still accounted for the highest proportion, at 80.38%. The combined revenue from events, clubs, and others accounted for 19.62%. The report also shows that as of June this year, the number of esports users in China was nearly 493 million, an increase of 0.59% compared to the same period last year.
