On August 1st, the Beihai Maritime Safety Center of the Ministry of Transport officially broadcasted sea ice forecast information for the Arctic shipping route. This marks the first time in China that sea ice forecasts for the Arctic route have been disseminated via maritime communication channels, signifying a leap forward in our Arctic maritime information service from real-time reporting to dynamic forecasting. This move further enhances the Arctic navigation information assurance system and provides strong support for the high-quality development of polar shipping.
