To thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important directives on production safety, and in accordance with the "Safety Production Assessment and Inspection Measures," the sixth group of the Central Safety Production Assessment and Inspection Team conducted a safety production assessment and inspection in Shanghai from July 15 to July 31. On July 31, the assessment and inspection team provided feedback on their findings. Team leader Zhou Xing reported on the inspection results, Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee Chen Jining made a statement, and Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Gong Zheng presided over the meeting. Zhou pointed out that Shanghai has deeply studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on production safety and key speeches regarding inspections in Shanghai. The city has resolutely carried out the decisions and deployments of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and the State Council, as well as the work requirements of the State Council Safety Commission. Responsibilities have been firmly assigned at every level, pressure has been transmitted, and fundamental improvements in key industries have deepened. Continuous significant safety hazard investigations and rectifications have been conducted, and the foundation for grassroots governance has been reinforced, leading to an overall stable situation in the city's production safety. However, several issues were also exposed during this inspection. In some regions and departments, the coordination of development and safety was inadequate and did not effectively reach the grassroots level. Further efforts are needed to implement the "three managements and three musts," and deficiencies remain in the safety risk prevention and control within key industries. There are varying degrees of non-compliance regarding safety production administrative licensing, administrative law enforcement, and social service institutions.
