Spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce answers questions from reporters on the situation of U.S. tariffs on China.

On April 16th, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce answered questions from journalists regarding the situation of US tariffs on China. The spokesperson stated that China has noticed that the cumulative tariffs on certain goods exported to the US have reached 245%. This fully exposes the irrationality of the US weaponizing tariffs to an unreasonable extent. China has previously made its position clear on the unilateral imposition of tariffs by the US, and will not pay attention to the meaningless tariff games played by the US. However, if the US continues to substantially infringe on China's interests, China will resolutely retaliate and stand firm until the end.
