Recently, Contemporary Amperex Technology (300750.SZ) announced that its issuance of overseas listed foreign shares (H shares) has been approved by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), and the company plans to issue no more than approximately 2.201697 billion shares of overseas listed common stock and list on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Contemporary Amperex Technology stated that it received a notice of approval for overseas listing from the CSRC on March 25. If the company fails to complete the overseas listing within 12 months of the issuance of the notice, it must update the filing materials. Approval from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and other relevant government agencies, regulatory bodies, and stock exchanges is also required for the issuance of overseas listed foreign shares (H shares) and listing.
It is reported that Contemporary Amperex Technology submitted its application for a Hong Kong listing on February 11, with a reported minimum fundraising target of at least $5 billion (HK$39 billion). The sponsors and overall coordinators disclosed by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange include China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited, China Securities Co., Ltd. (International) Financing Limited, J.P. Morgan Securities (Asia Pacific) Limited, and Merrill Lynch (Asia Pacific) Limited; while the overall coordinators include Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC, Morgan Stanley Asia Limited, and UBS AG Hong Kong Branch.
