Star cloud computing startup CoreWeave (CRWV.US), supported by NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US), announced on Monday that Jean English, former Chief Marketing Officer of Juniper Networks, Inc. (Juniper Networks), has officially joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer, reporting directly to CEO Michael Intrator. This appointment comes at a crucial juncture as CoreWeave prepares for its Nasdaq listing sprint, with its latest prospectus targeting a valuation of up to $26 billion.
As a disruptor in the AI infrastructure field, CoreWeave has been making frequent moves recently. First, it entered into a five-year strategic agreement with OpenAI, promising to provide $11.9 billion worth of high-performance computing resources to support the latter's AI development needs, and agreed to issue $350 million worth of equity to the developers of ChatGPT through a private placement during the IPO.
Following this, there has been an acceleration in the upgrade of the management team, with the addition of key talents such as Chief Information Security Officer Jim Higgins and Chief Information Officer Sandy Venugopal earlier this year.
"In the decisive stage of the IPO sprint, Jean's joining will greatly enhance our market presence and brand penetration," emphasized Intrator in the appointment announcement, noting that this leader with extensive marketing experience in tech giants will lead CoreWeave's transition from a professional computing service provider to a widely recognized brand.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the company's prospectus has been updated, and it is expected to officially debut on the Nasdaq on March 28. This super IPO, carrying the expectations of the AI computing power revolution, is attracting close attention from global capital.
