The State Council Information Office held a policy briefing this afternoon, where officials from the General Administration of Sport, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Commerce introduced relevant policy measures regarding the "Opinions on Further Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Sports Industry by Unleashing the Potential of Sports Consumption". Kong Dejun, director of the Department of Trade in Services at the Ministry of Commerce, emphasized the role of major exhibitions such as the China International Import Expo, the Canton Fair, the China International Fair for Trade in Services, and the China Sports Industry Expo. By focusing on the positioning of exhibitions and highlighting their distinct characteristics of specialization, market orientation, and branding, the function of the sports sector at exhibitions will be utilized to facilitate industry resource integration and stimulate the potential of sports consumption.
