Typhoon "Taba" will enter Guangxi tonight, with local accumulated rainfall exceeding 300 millimeters.

Today, the journalist learned from the Guangxi Meteorological Observatory that the center of this year's 16th typhoon "Taba" made landfall along the coast of Taishan City, Guangdong Province around 8:50 am on the 8th. After landfall, it moved northwest, gradually weakening in intensity. On the evening of the 8th, it entered Guangxi from Wuzhou to Yulin, weakening into a tropical depression. Due to its impact, from the 8th to the 9th, Guangxi will experience heavy rain to heavy storms, locally severe storms or extremely severe storms from east to west, with maximum gusts of 8-9 levels. Cumulative rainfall: 80-250 mm in central and southern Guangxi, locally over 300 mm, with maximum hourly rainfall of 60-80 mm, locally over 100 mm. It is necessary to strengthen defense work against flash floods, geological disasters, floods in small and medium-sized rivers, urban and rural waterlogging, and strong wind disasters.
