Ministry of Commerce: Travel services saw rapid growth from January to July, with a year-on-year increase in imports and exports of 10.4%.

The person in charge of the Trade in Services Division of the Ministry of Commerce introduced the development of service trade from January to July in 2025. From January to July in 2025, China's service trade has steadily increased, with a total trade volume of 4,578.16 billion yuan, an increase of 8.2% year-on-year. Among them, exports amounted to 1,998.3 billion yuan, an increase of 15.3%; imports amounted to 2,579.86 billion yuan, an increase of 3.3%. The service trade deficit was 581.56 billion yuan, a decrease of 183.62 billion yuan compared to the same period last year. Among them, travel services exports grew the fastest. From January to July, travel services maintained rapid growth, with a total trade volume of 1,259.46 billion yuan, an increase of 10.4%. Among them, exports increased by 62.9% and imports increased by 3.9%.
