2025 Summer Box Office Report: Number of viewers increased compared to last year, average ticket price hit a five-year low.

On September 1st, at noon, Maoyan Research Institute released the "Insight into the 2025 Summer Box Office". The report shows that the first half of this year's summer box office was lackluster, but picked up in the second half with the success of films such as "Nanjing Photograph Studio" leading the way, igniting audiences' enthusiasm for going to the movies. Despite the absence of major blockbuster films, there were still several films that performed relatively well during the season, especially those that targeted specific audience segments and niches. Additionally, the popularity of IP derivative products has to some extent expanded the growth space for non-box office revenues in the film industry.
