In the past 7 years of construction of the SCO demonstration zone, the number of China-Europe freight trains has exceeded 4800.

According to statistics from Qingdao Customs, in the past 7 years, the construction of the SCO Demonstration Zone has seen 4,803 China-Europe freight trains, with an average annual growth of 33%. The transportation of import and export containers has reached 394,000 standard containers, with a total weight of over 3.3 million tons. As of now, the SCO Demonstration Zone has regularly operated 22 international freight train routes, connecting 54 cities in 23 SCO member countries and countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.
