China Meteorological Administration has issued an order to activate a Level IV emergency response to a major meteorological disaster: The tropical depression in the South China Sea has intensified into the 14th typhoon of the year, named "Lanhui," as of 8:00 on August 30. Under its influence, from daytime on August 30 to August 31, there will be heavy to torrential rain in the southwestern coastal areas of Guangdong, the southern coastal areas of Guangxi, and the southern part of Hainan Island. The Central Meteorological Observatory issued a typhoon blue warning at 10:00 on August 30. Provincial meteorological agencies in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, and other potentially affected provinces have activated corresponding emergency responses based on actual assessments.
