According to the Economic Information App, Spirit Airlines, the largest low-cost airline in the United States, has again applied for bankruptcy protection on Friday, marking its second court reorganization in a year. Just in March of this year, Spirit had just emerged from bankruptcy protection, but failed to stabilize its financial foundation and is now in trouble again. After the news was announced, the stock price of its parent company, Spirit Aviation (FLYY.US), plummeted more than 45% in after-hours trading.
