The Health Commission of Shanxi Province recently reported that in July, the province reported a total of 13,221 cases of statutory Class A, B, and C infectious diseases, with 23 deaths. There were no reported cases of Class A infectious diseases such as plague and cholera. Among the Class B infectious diseases, there were no reported cases of infectious atypical pneumonia, poliomyelitis, human infection with highly pathogenic avian influenza, measles, hemorrhagic fever, rabies, Japanese encephalitis, meningococcal meningitis, diphtheria, neonatal tetanus, leptospirosis, human infection with H7N9 avian influenza, totaling 13 infectious diseases. The remaining 15 Class B infectious diseases had a total of 5,544 reported cases, with 23 deaths. The top five reported diseases were hepatitis B, syphilis, tuberculosis, novel coronavirus infection, and brucellosis, accounting for 86.42% of the reported cases of Class B infectious diseases. Among the Class C infectious diseases, there were no reported cases of leprosy and filariasis, with a total of 7,677 reported cases of the remaining 9 infectious diseases, with no deaths. The top three reported diseases were other infectious diarrheal diseases, influenza, and hand, foot, and mouth disease.
