The Emergency Committee for Disaster Prevention, Reduction and Relief of Hainan Province upgraded the flood control and wind protection Level II emergency response to Level I emergency response at 10:00 on the 24th. It was learned from a press conference on the defense against Typhoon "Swordfish" held on the 24th that Hainan Province has been continuously strengthening hazard investigation and personnel evacuation in various places and departments. As of 8:00 on the 24th, approximately 20,000 people have been evacuated from dangerous areas in the province. The agricultural and rural departments have carried out wind protection work for fishing boats, and as of 1:30 on the 24th, 30,769 fishing boats in the province have all completed sheltering in harbor or moving to shelter, and 21,681 people have been evacuated to shore.
