Venezuela launches nationwide conscription registration program

On August 23, local time, Venezuela's Minister of Defense, Lopez, announced the official launch of the national conscription registration process. He stated that this call-up is not mandatory and is a completely voluntary mobilization of all Venezuelan people. The core objective is to allow every citizen who wishes to participate to receive training, contribute to the defense of the country, and strengthen the population's ability to respond to the current tense situation in Latin America.
