Recently, the A-share market has been trading actively. The branches and subsidiaries of securities firms, which are at the forefront of business, are the most sensitive to the temperature of the A-share market. On August 19, reporters from China Securities Journal visited several securities branches and subsidiaries in Shanghai and Beijing. The above-mentioned branches all said that the number of new account openings in August has significantly increased, but still not as large as during the "924" market in 2024; the majority of new account investors are from the post-80s, post-90s, and post-00s generations; existing clients have a strong willingness to add to their investments. At the same time, the staff of these branches and subsidiaries are entering a "busy season", having to work overtime and be on duty in shifts even during lunch breaks and weekends to deal with the sudden increase in business volume.
