On the local time of the 19th, China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Fu Cong, spoke at the open debate of the UN Security Council on the issue of conflict-related sexual violence, calling for enhanced prevention and resolution of conflicts in order to eliminate sexual violence in conflicts. Fu Cong stated that the ultimate goal of the agenda to combat conflict-related sexual violence is not only to prevent sexual violence in conflicts, but also to eliminate wars in the world. To achieve peace, it is necessary to adhere to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, uphold a common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security concept, insist on peacefully resolving disputes, and promote political solutions to hot issues. The international community must take action to promote ceasefire, stop violence and crime, and fundamentally prevent harm to women and girls.
