American soybean growers are on the edge of a "trade and financial cliff", unable to withstand the prolonged trade war. Caleb Ragland, president of the American Soybean Association, issued a warning in a letter to Trump on Tuesday, stating, "American soybean growers cannot bear the long-term trade dispute with our customers. Soybean growers are under immense economic pressure. Prices continue to fall, while at the same time, the costs our growers are paying for inputs and equipment are increasing significantly."
