During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, China will continue to host international high-level sports events.

The State Council Information Office held a series of theme press conferences on "achieving high-quality completion of the '14th Five-Year Plan'" this morning, introducing the achievements in building a strong sports nation during the '14th Five-Year Plan' period. It was announced at the conference that during the '15th Five-Year Plan' period, China will continue to actively host international high-level sports events. Currently, several world championships in athletics, swimming, gymnastics, weightlifting, snowboarding, and freestyle skiing have been held in China, and more events such as stages, series, and point races of other sports will be introduced. It is hoped that by hosting various international sports events, strengthening exchanges with countries and regions, and assisting China's economic and social development, the social and cultural life of the people will be continually enriched.
