Shanghai Qingpu New Town builds "the first stop for enterprises entering Shanghai in the Yangtze River Delta", with 40 projects recently signed.

The Qingpu District of Shanghai is currently advancing the construction of the "Yangtze River Delta Innovation Hub" by taking on major strategic tasks such as serving the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, the Hongqiao International Open Hub, and the China International Import Expo. As the "first move" and "breakthrough point" in serving major strategic tasks in Qingpu, Qingpu New City is striving towards the goal of being the "first stop for Yangtze River Delta companies entering Shanghai." Recently, 40 projects signed contracts at the Qingpu New City Development and Construction Conference and the "Surging Pujiang" series of activities. Shanghai Institute of Technology, China Telecom Shanghai Company, the Shanghai Branch of China Construction Bank and the Qingpu District Government signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation. Huawei and the Qingpu District Government jointly launched the "Yangtze River Delta AI+ Joint Innovation Center" cooperation. Qingpu New City has a planned area of 91.1 square kilometers, accounting for 13% of the total land area of Qingpu, but creating 40% of the GDP and 65% of the industrial output value above a certain scale in the entire district. According to the "2025 Qingpu New City Development Action Plan," Qingpu New City will focus on developing the next-generation information technology industry, nurturing billion-level industrial clusters, and building an entire industry ecosystem centered around leading enterprises such as Huawei, attracting headquarters economy and scientific and technological innovation enterprises. The "Beidou and Low Altitude Economy" as a characteristic industry of the coordinated development of the urban area of Qingpu New City, will be supported by next-generation information technology as its underlying technology, and will synergistically integrate with billion-level industrial clusters in the entire district such as high-end equipment manufacturing and modern logistics.
