Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Clear support role of industries such as electrical machinery, automobiles, and electronics.

Xie Shaofeng, Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at a press conference on July 18th that in the first and second quarters of this year, the value added of industrial enterprises above a designated size increased by 6.5% and 6.3% respectively compared to the same period last year, achieving further growth on the basis of a high base in the same period last year. Among them, industries such as electrical machinery, automobiles, electronics, supply equipment, chemicals, and non-ferrous metals have grown rapidly, further increasing their contribution to the growth of industrial enterprises above a designated size.
