Delta Airlines CEO Bastian said that in recent months, price-sensitive passengers in the US have shown restrained consumption due to the worsening economic environment, but he is more confident about demand for the second half of the year. Bastian said that demand during this period should see a "slight recovery." He stated that Delta had previously encountered booking softness in the US market and among leisure passengers in the main cabin. "There is no doubt that in the short term, given the situation we see in Washington and the challenges of trade negotiations, the current situation is more volatile," Bastian said. "But I believe this situation will not last too long. We are working hard to overcome challenges and move towards stability."
