Silicon Industry Branch: Domestic downstream companies have completed their raw material inventory, resulting in reduced demand. In April, China's import of polysilicon decreased by approximately 67.16% compared to the previous month.
According to the latest data from customs, the import volume of polysilicon in China in April 2025 was 954.3 tons, a decrease of about 67.16% compared to the previous month. The Silicon Industry Association analyzed that the decrease in polysilicon imports to a certain extent is due to the end of raw material stocking by domestic downstream companies and a decrease in demand, and it is expected that this impact will continue for some time. The export volume of polysilicon continued to decline this month, with the main reduction coming from Malaysia, speculating that the negative impact of the US Department of Commerce's final ruling on anti-dumping and countervailing duties on Southeast Asian countries is still ongoing, causing a further decline in demand for polysilicon raw materials in the region.
