Tesla investors hope Musk works at least 40 hours a week.
Investors wrote to Tesla's board chairman on Wednesday stating that Elon Musk needs to spend more time on Tesla. They wrote in the letter, "The fluctuations in Tesla's stock price, declining sales, and global reputation crisis are all very concerning. In addition, many issues are related to Musk's behavior outside of his roles as the technology guru and CEO of Tesla, including his high-profile role as architect of the US government's efficiency department." They believe Tesla is facing a "crisis," partly due to Musk's "absence," and the board seems "unwilling to act in the best interest of all Tesla shareholders." Investors hope the Tesla board will require Musk to work at least 40 hours a week as a condition for any new compensation plan they may arrange for him.
