Informants: Several leading pig companies have received a related notice to temporarily suspend the expansion of sows and regulate the secondary fattening.
Reporters have learned from multiple sources that many leading pork enterprises have been asked by relevant departments to temporarily stop expanding the production of breeding sows in group pens, and the weight of the pigs raised for slaughter must also be controlled at around 120 kilograms. Business insiders said the meeting mainly involved reducing overcapacity, regulating the second-stage breeding, and leading top enterprises to stabilize prices. Some industry insiders have indicated that large groups have already stopped selling second-stage breeding pigs. Muyuan Shares told a reporter from Caixin that "based on the internal and external situation, the company has decided not to sell commodity pigs to second-stage fattening customers. Please refer to official documents for specific policy information from relevant departments."
