The Central Meteorological Observatory issued a flood risk weather warning at 18:00 on August 9: Due to heavy rainfall, it is expected that from 20:00 on August 9 to 20:00 on August 10, certain regions in southern Jiangsu, most of Shanghai, most of Zhejiang, southern and western Anhui, and southwestern Yunnan will experience a higher meteorological risk of flooding. Among them, certain areas in eastern and northern Zhejiang, southern and western Anhui face a high meteorological risk of flooding, while some areas in eastern Zhejiang have a very high risk of flooding, which could lead to urban waterlogging and damage to farmland, necessitating enhanced precautionary measures.
