Central Meteorological Observatory: Typhoon "Pilu" is expected to have no impact on our country.
According to the Central Meteorological Administration, this year's 16th typhoon "Pilu" formed on August 9 over the Northwest Pacific Ocean. At 17:00, its center was located approximately 700 kilometers northwest of Saipan, Guam, at 21.1 degrees north latitude and 143.4 degrees east longitude. The maximum wind speed near the center is 8 degrees, or 18 meters per second, and the minimum central pressure is 998 hPa, with a radius of the seven-level wind circle ranging from 150 to 200 kilometers. It is expected that "Pilu" will move rapidly eastward at a speed of 25 to 30 kilometers per hour, with a slow increase in intensity. In the future, "Pilu" will have no impact on our country.
