According to reporters from the Ministry of Natural Resources, at 16:00 today, the National Marine Forecasting Center continues to issue a red alert for storm surges. It is expected that from now until the afternoon of the 10th, there will be storm surge increases of 100 to 250 centimeters along the coast from Nantong, Jiangsu to Ningbo, Zhejiang, and 180 to 350 centimeters along the coast from Taizhou to Wenzhou in Zhejiang, while the coastal areas of Fujian will see increases of 50 to 100 centimeters. The storm surge warning level for Ningbo, Zhoushan, and Taizhou in Zhejiang Province is red, while the warning level for Shanghai and Jiaxing in Zhejiang Province is orange, and the warning level for Wenzhou in Zhejiang Province is yellow. Coastal governments and relevant departments are requested to carry out emergency response work against storm surges according to their responsibilities, and residents in low-lying coastal areas and dilapidated houses should be transferred to safe areas in a timely manner; beaches and amusement facilities in dangerous coastal areas should be closed, and individuals are prohibited from playing by the sea; personnel engaged in marine operations such as fish rafts and fishing boats should return to shore promptly to avoid risks.
