State Grid Qinghai Ultra High Voltage Company announced on the 7th that State Grid Qinghai Provincial Electric Power Company conducted China's first 5000-meter level high-altitude ultra-high voltage equipotential live work, setting a new altitude record for live work in the world's ultra-high voltage. On the 6th, maintenance and repair personnel of State Grid Qinghai Provincial Electric Power Company carried out equipotential live work near the Tanggula Pass at an altitude of 5211.5 meters, eliminating defects on the direct current section of the 400 kV Chaidamu converter station to Lhasa converter station on the Qinghai-Tibet interconnection project to ensure a stable power supply during the Spring Festival in Tibet. This operation at an altitude of 5211.5 meters is a strong proof of China's power grid maintenance level in ultra-high altitude areas and extreme environments.
