The world's first marine medium-voltage DC hybrid circuit breaker has been successfully developed.

Recently, the world's first 10 kV medium voltage dual-pole bidirectional marine hybrid DC circuit breaker successfully passed the high current short-circuit breaking test. The 10 kV voltage level is equivalent to 45 times that of normal residential electricity, and is currently the highest voltage level in marine power systems. This major breakthrough not only fills the technical gap in the field of marine medium voltage DC circuit breakers, but also marks China's achievement of key technological breakthroughs in the field of marine power equipment, placing it among the global leaders in innovation. It is reported that the equipment was independently developed by the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation's 704th Research Institute.
