The New Zealand central bank raised the weight of the US dollar in the trade-weighted index.

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has stated that the annual reweighting of its trade-weighted currency index will take effect on December 4th. The weight of the Australian dollar will decrease from 18.4% to 17.8%; the weight of the US dollar will increase from 15.6% to 16.2%; the weight of the Euro remains relatively unchanged at 9.2%; and the weight of the Japanese Yen will decrease from 5.51% to 4.7%.
