On April 21, Contemporary Amperex Technology (300750.SZ) officially released the second generation Shenxing ultra-fast charging battery at the Super Tech Day event. According to Contemporary Amperex Technology, this is the world's first lithium iron phosphate battery that combines 800km of range with a peak of 12C (referring to the charging rate). The battery is built with ultra-graphite, utilizing technologies such as balanced electron flow and carbon-coated nano superconductors, achieving 75km in 30 seconds (or 2.5km in 1 second) and a range of 520km in just 5 minutes of charging. Furthermore, it has a peak charging power of over 1.3 megawatts. Additionally, it maintains excellent charging speed in low-temperature environments: in -10C conditions, it can go from 5% to 80% in just 15 minutes. It supports full temperature range and full state of charge (SOC) power, and can still meet power demands of up to 830kW even at 20% depletion. In 2023, Contemporary Amperex Technology initially released the Shenxing ultra-fast charging battery, the world's first lithium iron phosphate battery with 4C ultra-fast charging capability and a peak of 10C. By the end of 2024, the Contemporary Amperex Technology Shenxing ultra-fast charging battery had been applied in 39 models from 16 car manufacturers.
