The China Textile Industry Association released the national yarn import and export situation for January-February 2025. In the first two months, China exported 1.04 million tons of yarn, a year-on-year increase of 11.4%; with an average price of $2.20 per kilogram, a year-on-year decrease of 2.5%. In terms of specific products, from January to February 2024, cotton yarn exports reached 54,000 tons, an increase of 32.4%; with an export value of $210 million, a growth of 19.9%. Synthetic fiber yarn exports reached 977,000 tons, an increase of 10.5%; with an export value of $1.9 billion, a growth of 7.7%. Silk yarn exports reached 527 kilograms, a growth of 21.9%; with an export value of $0.3 million, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%; and wool and animal hair yarn exports reached 0.4 million tons, an increase of 12.5%; with an export value of $120 million, a year-on-year decrease of 14.7%.
