In the first five months of this year, there were a total of 5,679 residential units completed in Hong Kong, which is a year-on-year decrease of about 21%.

The completion rate of private residential buildings continues to slow down, according to the Rating and Valuation Department in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Property Report (Revised Edition) for May shows that only 80 units were completed, a decrease of approximately 87% compared to the 624 units completed in April. A total of 5679 units have been completed in the first five months of this year, also a decrease of around 21% compared to the same period last year, marking a new low since 2019.
