The United Arab Emirates' Mohammed bin Zayed Artificial Intelligence University and G42 have jointly launched a low-cost inference model "K2 Think", claiming that it only requires 32 billion parameters to outperform models with 20 times the scale. This model is built based on the open-source Qwen 2.5 by Alibaba, using methods such as long chain thinking supervision fine-tuning and expansion in the inference stage to enhance performance specifically designed for applications in mathematics, science, and other areas.
