Minister of Industry and Information Technology Li Lecheng stated at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that since the "14th Five-Year Plan", the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has actively promoted the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, allowing old trees to grow new shoots. They have supported 46 cities in carrying out pilot projects for new technology transformation, with over 230 excellent smart factories and 1260 5G factories built so far. The installed capacity of industrial robots accounts for more than 50% of the global total. The comprehensive energy consumption of products such as steel, cement, and plastics has overall reached the world's advanced level.
