On September 8th, West Lake University announced that Professor David Baltimore, founding member of the Board of Trustees and Advisory Committee of West Lake University, passed away on September 6, 2025 in Woods Hole, Massachusetts at the age of 87. In the obituary, West Lake University expressed that "for West Lake University, Professor Baltimore was an extremely important 'colleague' and 'leader'."
