OPEC+ agreed to further increase production by 137,000 barrels per day starting next month in order to prioritize market share over maintaining oil prices.
According to the Wisdom Financial APP, OPEC+ has decided to accelerate the release of another portion of oil that has not been temporarily supplied to the market, because the organization insists on maintaining the strategy of regaining market share above prices. During a video conference on Sunday, core member countries of the organization approved a plan to increase daily oil production by approximately 137,000 barrels starting from October, and will continue this increased production pace until September next year, as part of a larger daily supply of 1.65 million barrels. This means that the planned daily oil production capacity of 1.65 million barrels, which was originally intended to remain in a "cut suspension" state until the end of 2026, will now be restored at a pace much faster than previously expected.
