Venezuela deploys 25,000 soldiers to combat drug trafficking activities.

On September 7th local time, Venezuelan President Maduro announced the deployment of 25,000 soldiers in the border areas of Venezuela and Colombia to strengthen all military operations in that region. Maduro stated that the primary goal of this troop rotation is to defend national sovereignty, ensure territorial security, and maintain peace.
