The milestone nodes of the Haiyang Phase II nuclear power project have been completed more than half.

Yesterday, the journalist learned from the State Power Investment Group that the steel safety shield module of the nuclear island for Unit 4 of Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant has been successfully hoisted into place, and the reactor building has been successfully sealed, marking a new phase in the installation of the main equipment for Unit 4. Zhang Zhongwei, the on-site manager of Haiyang Nuclear Power Phase II project, mentioned that with this milestone completed, over half of the project's milestones have been achieved. After the comprehensive operation in 2027, the four units of Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant will have an annual power generation of up to 40 billion kWh, which can meet the electricity demand of half of the residents in Shandong Province.
