On September 6th, the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Department of Hainan Province issued a document stating that recently, a seal near the beach in Dongjiao Town, Wenchang City, Hainan Province has become popular on the internet, attracting many tourists and local residents to come and observe. Although the fishery authority has already put up warning signs, organized volunteers, and strengthened patrols as protective measures, the seal named "Anong" has shown symptoms such as red eyes and hair loss, which may be related to severe human interference and habitat pressure. At the same time, the act of humans feeding "Anong" is also a serious issue that could lead to a decrease in its ability to survive in the wild, prompting concerns from animal protection organizations. Considering the current physical and living conditions of "Anong," based on consultations with experts, the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Department of the province and the Agricultural and Rural Affairs Bureau of Wenchang City have initiated a cross-regional joint rescue mission. They will guide the Aquatic Wildlife Rescue Center in transporting and providing professional examination for "Anong," helping it return to the population and implementing a special action called "Sending Anong Home."
