Alaska Airlines Group stated that they are converting some of their undelivered Boeing 787 aircraft orders into the larger 787-10 model in order to meet the increasing demand for high passenger volume routes, especially cross-Pacific routes. The group currently operates a fleet consisting of 4 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft and approximately 243 Boeing 737 aircraft.
