South Korea plans to levy temporary anti-dumping duties on single-mode optical fibers from China.

On September 4, the South Korean Ministry of Planning and Finance issued Announcement No. 2025-179, stating that a temporary anti-dumping duty will be imposed on single-mode optical fibers originating from China for a period of four months. Specifically, Jiangsu Hengtong Optic-Electric Co., Ltd., FiberHome Telecommunication Technologies Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Jinsong Optic Fiber Technology Co., Ltd., their affiliates, and other Chinese producers/exporters will all be subject to a duty rate of 43.35%. The measure will be in effect from September 19, 2025 to January 18, 2026.
