Venezuela erects a monument to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Anti-Japanese War
On September 3, local time, the 80th anniversary commemorative monument of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was unveiled in Venezuela. Venezuelan President Maduro attended the unveiling ceremony. Maduro also posted on social media that day to congratulate the Chinese people on the 80th anniversary of their victory in the war of resistance, stating that the resistance war is one of the greatest victories in human history. Maduro extended sincere brotherly greetings to Chinese leaders and the Chinese people, expressing his respect. Maduro emphasized that "as a major world power, China is able to interact with governments and peoples of all countries in an equal and respectful manner." Maduro pointed out, "The victory 80 years ago tells us that as long as the people are united, they can defeat any imperialist forces trying to enslave our country."
