Recently, the main event of the 2025 Surveying and Mapping Law Promotion Day and National Cartographic Awareness Week was held in Changsha. At the event, seven navigation electronic map production units including NavInfo jointly released the "Initiative to Maintain Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Security". NavInfo and other units jointly promised to: further strengthen the security production management of surveying and mapping geographic information data, collect and process surveying and mapping geographic information data in accordance with laws and regulations, and increase data supply. They will serve as promoters and practitioners of surveying and mapping geographic information, refuse to illegally collect sensitive surveying and mapping geographic information data, not transmit, label, or publish "problematic maps" that undermine national sovereignty and territorial integrity, create a good atmosphere of common concern and active participation in maintaining the security of surveying and mapping geographic information within the industry, and consciously safeguard the security of surveying and mapping geographic information.
